Liberal Democrats now the main challenger to the Tories in Kenilworth & Southam
The results of the local elections this week across the county divisions making up Kenilworth & Southam parliamentary constituency, demonstrate clearly that the Liberal Democrats are the only credible challenger to the Tories here.
The Lib Dem share of total votes cast was 23.3%, more than double that for Labour candidates, and more than four times that for the Greens. The UKIP vote all but disappeared across the constituency.
Commenting on the results, Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Richard Dickson said:
"In this 'Brexit' election the choice is clear, it's either Lib Dems or Conservatives here in Kenilworth & Southam.
"If voters reject the disastrous Hard Brexit plan being pursued by this Tory government, if they want to change the direction of this country, then they need to vote Liberal Democrat on the 8th June."
