We are please to report that the councillors on Warwick Area Committee have voted to grant £4,000 for a 12 month trial period for a community transport scheme in Kenilworth Abbey ward - to fill in some of the gaps left by the loss of the Stagecoach X18 and some of the Johnsons' services.

Councillor Ann Blacklock has been working with County Council staff and the local residents, to try to improve the situation - which had left some people, especially the elderly and young mums with children, feeling stranded.

The new scheme will run 2 days per week, 2 times a day, and will be called "CASTLE TO CLOCK".

Ann said:

" The next step is for myself and County staff to establish the best way of operating the scheme with the chosen community bus group, consult local people - and then launch it in the Autumn!"
