Over 300 hundred people have written to Rugby's Liberal Democrats about the Post Office's plans to close Rugby's Crown Post Office in Albert Street.

Cllr Glenda Allanach (Lib Dem, Paddox) said "I am delighted by this excellent response which shows the depth of feeling there is in Rugby on this issue".

Cllr Jess Upstone (Lib Dem, Hillmorton) said "We have never had so many replies to one of our leaflets. To have over 300 replies within a week of starting to deliver the leaflet is amazing. The Post Office must sit up and take notice now."

The Liberal Democrats have been delivering 8,000 leaflets in the Eastlands and Hillmorton area of Rugby with a petition slip and a note of Rugby Liberal Democrats' FREEPOST address. Ironically every envelope sent back protesting about the closure will boost Post Office profits.
