Nigel Rock has had an influential career in technology and business improvement. Recently two important international journals have featured items about Nigel - Professional Engineer, and Quality World.

Nigel is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineer (IMechE) based at 1 Birdcage Walk in London. Nigel has been a Board Member of both the Automobile Division and Engineering in Medicine Division of the IMechE. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Quality. In the automobile industry, Nigel worked on efficiency, reliability and safety of vehicles, with specialisations in aerodynamics, weight reduction and crash protection. He also worked in aerospace, most notably leading the team that worked with clinicians to develop and refine the crash landing brace position. This work arose from Nigel's participation in the investigation of the Kegworth air accident of 1989.

If elected as the first MP for the new constituency of Kenilworth & Southam, Nigel would bring a wealth of real-world technology experience into the House of Commons - something mostly lacking among MPs in the past!
