Nigel Rock Elected Again!

Cllr. Nigel Rock (Liberal Democrat, Stockton & Napton) has been elected as vice-chairman of the East Area Committee of Stratford District Council.
There are three areas in Stratford district, and the East area covers those communities that fall within the Stratford district part of the new constituency of Kenilworth and Southam, which Nigel will contest for the Liberal Democrats at the next General Election.
The area committee considers matters of importance to those communities upon which the District Council can have influence either directly or through partnerships.
This is the second district council vice chairmanship to which Nigel Rock has been appointed in recent weeks. In July he was elected as vice-chairman of the Environment Quality and Climate Change Committee.
Nigel Rock said "I was surprised and pleased to be to be elected to these vice chairmanships, which I hope heralds an era of cross-party co-operation within the district council on matters that are in of importance to residents. I thank councillor colleagues of all parties for their support."
