Nigel Rock PPC visits Westminster
Nigel Rock, the PPC for Kenilworth and Southam recently took the opportunity to see for himself the select committee system of parliament in operation.
Nigel was part of a delegation of councillors from Stratford District Council who went to the Houses of Parliament on 19 November. He said " We observed both a Lords and a Commons select committee. Both were interesting, but the Commons Committee on Waste was notable for seeing John Lewis and Asda giving evidence about how they are dealing with waste." Nigel has suggested that he would promote the return of containers through a deposit system if he were to become an MP. Bring back the deposit bottle!
When at Westminster, Nigel also met with MP David Laws MP (Lib Dem Shadow Minister for Education) who recently visited Eathorpe in our constituency.
