The Liberal Democrats are seeking to change the male-dominated face of local politics in Kenilworth & Southam constituency, with four of our five candidates for the contested Stratford District Council seats being women.
Nigel Rock, Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Kenilworth & Southam, said: "This isn't a question of quotas or women-only short lists. Our party doesn't see that as the right approach at all. We have a number of very able women members in our local party, many of whom are already serving their local communities in a variety of ways, and I am extremely pleased to see more and more putting themselves forward for election as district councillors."
