Schools Funding Formula - What Next?

pound signAs first revealed on this web site last Sunday, the Conservative administration of Warwickshire County Council have scrapped their controversial plans to change the schools funding formula. At yesterday's Cabinet meeting the recommendations were withdrawn without discussion, and with no clarification as to what happens next.

With Warwickshire schools due to draw up their three-year budgets during the Spring Term, everyone is left in limbo by this situation. Liberal Democrat county councillors are calling for an early statement by the Portfolio Holder as soon as possible in the New Year.
