Today's Liz Kershaw breakfast show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire radio featured not one but two prominent local Liberal Democrats.
Firstly Councillor John Whitehouse (Kenilworth Abbey) was interviewed about the recent success of the Connect2 bid in the Big Lottery Fund's The People's £50 Million contest. John chaired the local Connect2 Steering Group in Kenilworth, which ran a very high profile campaign in support of the bid.
Half an hour later, Nigel Rock, our prospective parliamentary candidate for Kenilworth & Southam, was interviewed about the Liberal Democrat leadership campaign and the future prospects for the party nationally and locally. Nigel revealed that he had voted for Chris Huhne in the leadership election, but that it had been a very close decision and that he would be more than happy to back either candidate. The result will be declared tomorrow.
