Liz Lynne, the Liberal Democrat MEP for the West Midlands, visited the South Warwickshire Carers' Support Service headquarters at Honiley near Kenilworth recently in her role as party spokesperson for disabilities. She is preparing a Report for the European Parliament on accessibility, particularly in relation to often-forgotten groups of people.
Liz met the Chair, Keith Duckitt, the Manager, Nigel Howard and members of staff , to find out more about this organisation and was clearly impressed with the achievements it has made in a short time. She offered to put them in touch with counterparts in other European countries --- to start to build up a Europe-wide lobbying movement.
Councillor Ann Blacklock (Liberal Democrat, Kenilworth Abbey) accompanied Liz during the visit.
