It's time we saw the end of these!
Life for residents in Kenilworth's historic High Street is being made a misery by the very bad state of the road surface, which is full of pot holes.
High Street resident Jack Bastock, previous Liberal Democrat councillor and town mayor, said that the number of pot holes had become ridiculous. Some temporary filling last year made little difference, as this was soon washed away again.
However, there is some good news at last. County councillor John Whitehouse (Liberal Democrat, Kenilworth Abbey) said:
"County highway officers have confirmed that a complete resurfacing of the High Street is in the programme for 2007/2008. Given the urgency of the situation I shall be pressing for this work to be completed as quickly as possible, and certainly within the next six months."
