Cllr. Dave Shilton & John Whitehouse want Talisman Square and the rest of the town centre to change for the better - soon!

Kenilworth Lib Dem councillors and local campaigners have welcomed the latest plans for Kenilworth Town Centre revealed by Warwick District Council, and have backed the efforts of strategic director Chris Elliott to make progress in the face of concerted opposition from a very vocal minority of townspeople.

The Lib Dems have been consistently saying "Let's Get On With It" since last summer, while other parties have dragged their feet and tried to slow down progress.

Protecting the Youth Centre was always the No. 1 step, but now looks to be secured.

This is a 'once in a generation' opportunity to set the town centre back on a course towards prosperity, somewhere we can be proud of and which is attractive for shoppers and visitors alike.

Yes, there are still a lot of hurdles to cross, and some difficult decisions to take. But let's keep moving forward, because the alternative is far worse!
